Why two formulas?In the United States, sunscreen is regulated by the FDA as an over-the-counter drug, which limits the UV filters we can use and what we can say about them. So the US Edition is made to the FDA’s rules, with mineral filters.

Each day’s dose is sealed without water or plastic, in a shell built to break down and coloured with natural colours.

Shop the European EditionThe US Edition is in final testing; its SPF, reef-rule and other claims are confirmed by that testing and independent certification before launch. Why it matters
Most of it lingers on reefs and in the water for years. SOLA leaves out the filters most linked to reef damage.
